Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)

We were engaged for training, coaching and implementation of Kaizen process improvements throughout Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency’s (ACOA) main office in Fredericton in both official languages (French & English)

ACOA NB requested for support for the provision of a continuous improvement program to improve processes that will enable enhanced resource utilization and improve client service. The intent of the RFP was to; Develop and deliver Lean Six Sigma training; Assist them in selection & prioritization of value streams; Map the value stream and plan for implementation; Execute Kaizen events, and, Provide coaching and guidance for building self-sufficiency.

Outcome

Lean deployment commenced in December with Deployment Planning, Executive and Sponsor Training, project charter etc. Current and Future State Value Stream mapping and Implementation Plans were completed in the following Q1 & Q2, subsequent Kaizen activities were carried out in Q3 & Q4 with coaching and guidance from EZSigma to ACOA NB staff.

Lennox & Addington County General Hospital

As an alumni of the EZSigma Lean Green Belt program, I found it to be fast paced, exciting and interactive. The teaching was excellent, keeping topics relevant to my industry, healthcare. Sharing ideas with others and listening to their problems and plans was very enlightening. As the program was drawing to a close, I found the abundance of ideas and plans for future initiatives, to be very motivational and readily applicable to a variety of home grown projects.

I am looking forward to initiating some projects that are noticeably in need of improvement.

As well, the support both through e-mail and on line has allowed easy access to on-going training.
